If you go to study in America then you can apply to as many educational institutions in the country as you want. You can apply to only five universities in the country at the same time. It allows students to submit their choice of university and their grades/personal statement. Moreover, the UCAS allows students to complete their admission process easily and quickly. On the other hand, the application process to study at American universities is very complex and is not easy at all. This is because you will have to apply to each American university yourself, unlike in the UK.

Another big difference between studying in the UK and US is the time it takes to complete a training program in both countries. The duration of UG programs in the UK is less than in the US. In American universities, the duration of UG courses is 4 years. On the other hand, in British universities, the duration of UG courses is 3 years. What does this mean? It means that you can get a degree from a British university much faster than from an American university. Amazing, right?

In most of the UK, universities follow a semester system. However, some British universities also use trimester as well as quarter systems. In most British universities the academic term starts in September/October and it ends in May/June.  On the other hand, in American universities, the academic term starts in August and ends in June. Moreover, the Academic term of British universities is much more standardized in comparison to American universities.
