One way to reach the start of the trek is passing through Bandipur National Park which provides an added advantage for you to spot animals if you are passing by early morning. If you are getting a chance to experience two things at a time you should definitely try out this trek.
Chembra Peak Trek – Chembra peak is listed in the highest peaks of Western Ghats. The best part about this trek is that you can find a heart shaped lake which neither changes its shape nor dries up. You will get to have a look at some of the best views along with tea plantations. The best time for you to visit this trek would be from September to February to have the advantage of the view.
Meesapulimala Trek – If you want to have a look at the Rhododendrons flowers then this is the right place to find them. This trek passes through a lot of hills and also gives us a view of the Rhodo valley. A trek like this would take you a day to complete. It is not a difficult trek but it isn’t the easiest either. Various places for accommodation on the trek are Rhodovalley, Silent Valley, Kollukumalai. The trek can be done from two places, from Rhodo Valley it is 8 km and from Kurangini it is about 15km.
Kumta to Gokarna Beach Trek – If you wish to have a completely different experience of trekking do try this trek out. You can try this trek anytime other than monsoon. It is a very easy trek and it pleases one’s eyes. You can click as many photographs as you wish too and save them as aesthetic wallpapers on your phone. On the first day you will trek for almost thirteen km and on day two 9 km. This trek is like a walk on the beach and therefore it is not very difficult.
Tadiandamol Trek – This trek is like trekking through shola forests and having a look at the green hills. A moderately difficult trek which can be done in a day. It is also one of the highest peaks of Coorg. Since it might be prone to wildfires you cannot do this trek during the peak summer season. This is only a one day trek. You start walking to Nalknad palace if you are not in a vehicle. Then from there on you reach the base of Tadiandamol. The next stop is the Boulder point and then lastly the peak of Tadiandamol.
