Features, Mileage and on Road Price of Hero Splendor Plus 2022

Hero splendor plus

This year, India’s favorite commuter motorcycle has been re-imagined in a more tech-savvy form. Currently, the Hero Splendor Plus Xtec 2022 is available for Rs 72,900 ex-showroom across the country. In order to keep the Hero Splendor plus relevant among its competing commuter bikes, Hero has applied its homegrown Xtec badge over it.

There is no significant difference between the Xtec Splendor and the regular Splendor in terms of shape and design. The only change is the new LED DRL embedded in the cowl of the headlights. LEDs have also been installed in the headlights. In addition to new graphics, Hero has also used new features on the Xtec variant. It looks good when minimal graphic approaches are combined.

Design

The Xtec Splendor’s overall shape and design remain identical to the regular Splendor. New LED DRLs are embedded in the headlight cowl as the only change. LEDs have also been installed in the headlights. Hero has also introduced new graphics for the Xtec variant to set it apart from its regular counterparts. It looks good when a minimalist graphic approach is combined.

The iconic design of Splendor remains unchanged despite the overall blacked-out treatment. Nevertheless, the design seems to be getting old. Competitors are already offering newer designs and features in the segment. Hercules is trying to maintain the stakes on the Splendor commuter bikes with the Xtec variant.

 Features

With the addition of connected technology and some useful updates, the Splendor Xtec now boasts a number of useful features. A new digital instrument collection provides a variety of information on the go. The MID now displays the instantaneous and overall fuel economy for the everyday commuter.

In addition to Bluetooth connectivity on the Xtec, the rider can view notifications for calls and messages via the display. A USB charger was also added to Hero, keeping in mind the needs of current users.

All other parts of the bike remain the same except for these additions. City riding is comfortable due to the wide and large seat. Its suspension is tuned for a cushioned ride quality for which the Splendor is renowned. The lightweight and slim body also make maneuvering easy for the riders.

The engine and specifications of the vehicle

As for the Xtec, it has some upgrades, but they are purely technical. Neither the new variant nor its predecessor has any mechanical changes. Powered by the same 97.2 ccs, single-cylinder engine producing 7.8 hp & 8.05 Nm of torque, the Splendor continues to be a popular & reliable motorcycle. This bike comes with a 4-speed gearbox for easy commuting on any type of surface. As a result, the bike remains largely unchanged despite the absence of disc brakes. Does this meet your expectations?

Gearbox and engine

A commuter motorcycle with a 100cc engine remains mechanically unchanged. An air-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine, displacing 97.2cc, delivers 7.9 horsepower and 8.05 Nm of peak torque on the 2022 Hero Splendor Plus XTEC. In addition to the engine, it features Hero’s i3S idle stop/ start system and a 4-speed manual transmission.
