“That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed without a doubt a superhero.” The famous quote by the father of Marvel Cinematic Universe has not only fuelled the MCU to be a pinnacle franchise that it is today, but has also made it possible for us viewers to see the grandeur of Stan ‘The man’ Lee on the big screen.
A walkthrough to the journey so far!
Right from Iron Man that started phase 1, and was released in 2008, the MCU has come a long way through to the fourth phase. Amidst all these years, we have seen a lot more masterpieces than any other comic book based movie franchise. And now the president of Marvel studios, Mr. Kevin Feige has dropped a new installment in the Dr. Strange series.
If you haven’t watched the trailer yet. what are you waiting for?
A rampage of madness in town
The sequel to the movie that marked the debut of Benedict Cumberbatch in MCU, looks both promising and interesting to say the least. Benedict Cumberbatch and Benedict Wong are back as Doctor Strange and Wong for Multiverse of Madness (MoM); but that’s not all the stars who came back for the sequel.
As seen in the final trailer, we can see that Rachel McAdams and Chiwetel Ejiofor have also returned to their key roles as Christine Palmer and Baron Mordo. But that’s just a few of them we know, and that too from the first film. What about the rest?
New faces and new theories lingering around the multiverse
Right from the moment when the teaser for Doctor Strange MoM dropped, fans have started speculating everything that they’re going to witness in the film. And then when we got to see evil Strange, we knew that all the crazy is actually worth it. Director Sam Raimi has once again shown the contrasting nature of a character that he amusingly loves.
If you’re a true marvel fanatic, you must’ve gotten the idea about how this trailer gives us the glimpses of What If season 1 episode 4. But personally, I guess there’s more to the character.
Speaking of new faces, we can also see that Sir Patrick Stewart has been introduced in the MCU as the member of the infamous group in the comics, Illuminati. Fans are going crazy as they think we’ll see John Krasinki helming the role of Reed Richards, or the fans love to call it, Mr Fantastic.
A broken-hearted witch bringing chaos all over
Elizabeth Olsen owns the film with her spectacular role as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, and that goes without even watching the film as we have seen her impeccable presentation of the character in her emmy-award winning show WandaVision. At the end of the series, she was left all alone, but then she hears her kids’ screams. But weren’t her kids, just her manifestation? Or can this be an indication that her kids are stuck somewhere in the multiverse?
Although we can’t speculate much as of now; but we’re sure that we’ll see her using the newly channeled chaos magic. In the trailer and the teaser, we see that she’s surely up to something after the multiverse broke. And that ‘something’ is going to be a sight to watch.
